My name Adana, is an African name that means "Her father's daughter." Before I was born, God knew I would need this name! From my earliest years, I can remember feeling like I didn't belong and that I didn't have value unless I earned it. God's voice called out these lies. 1 John 3:1 says, "The Father has loved us so much that we are called children of God."

That's the great news!! I'm saved, secure, accepted, made whole, and made holy through one miraculous act. I am my Heavenly Father's daughter, because of the indescribable gift of Jesus Christ who took the penalty of my sins and reconciled me to God. Do you want to be a child of God?

My husband Steve and I have been married for nearly 25 years and together we have two sons, one daughter, and a hypoallergenic cat (who knew such a thing existed?) We live just outside of Detroit, Michigan. All these years and all the ups and downs have taught me about the unfathomable faithfulness of God and His resplendent grace.

Have you ever asked God what part of the body you are? I'm weird like this, so one day I asked God to tell me my function in the body of Christ. It's not like I heard an audible voice, but the first thing that popped into my mind was the central nervous system. In simplest terms, the central nervous system is the communication center that processes information and then carries messages to the body. Yup, that's me! I'm a message bearer who loves processing spiritual truths and sharing with the body of Christ. I am a Bible teacher, speaker, and a girl who loves a good prayer meeting. I'm also prone to telling three stories simultaneously while exuberantly expressing everything with my hands. I have a master's degree in Christian Ministry with an Emphasis in Biblical Counseling. My latest adventure is as the founder of Qara International, a non-profit missions organization for women.
